Job Overview/Activities   

Support the Federal Electronic Health Records Modernization (FEHRM) office as a senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Strategist. Analyze joint cybersecurity policies, evaluate technologies, and ensure that appropriate tactics, techniques, and procedures are in use. Enforce user IAM of providers and patients, and container implementation and strategy. Support the development and deployment of IAM solutions to ensure information security aligning with organization security requirements and guidelines. Applies advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise; full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Identify risks and issues, and propose mitigation strategies. Build consensus among large stakeholder sets and develop solutions collaboratively.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in a professional work environment
  • MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical fields or an additional 10 years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with supporting DevSecOps models to drive security planning from the start of the SDLC
  • Experience with designing and implementing systems that meet agency Cybersecurity policy and regulations
  • Experience with Cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks
  • Knowledge of containerization, new methods/technologies to handle orchestration, and how those technologies and solutions solve problems
  • Ability to define a strategy for a container ecosystem

Educational Requirements:

  • Ability to define technical design requirements based on VA and DoD standards, requirements, and guidelines


Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in the VA, DoD or both
  • Experience with implementing Electronic Health Records
  • Experience with implementing DevSecOps in an enterprise environment
