Role: DMM Program Assistant (PID 1513)


Job Overview/Activities

Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as a Data Migration and Management (DMM) Program Assistant that will:

  • Assist with gathering, organizing and cataloging content about data and data sources for use in the DMM documentation, organizing work schedules and meetings, email correspondence with stakeholders, organizing educational sessions and other duties as assigned
  • Develop narratives about the technical process for the transmission of data between VA and the EHR, to include technical details
  • Documentation of existing data standards and narratives to support technical training for VA staff on data migration and management
  • Able to conform to common (e.g. APA) format for writing
  • Able to use existing OEHRM and other templates and guidelines for writing
  • Able to work with technical subject matter experts and project/program documentation and write narratives based on limited input



Basic qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience. An additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience developing technical communication products
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience creating, applying and maintaining tools to track program, project, or task performance data, including cost, schedule, and performance data
  • Experience in the creation of routine and ad hoc reports
  • Able to provide oral and written discussion of analytical findings using narrative and graphic forms


Educational Qualification:


  • Bachelors Degree in a Business Discipline


Additional qualifications:

  • Understanding of data architecture and typical data concerns to include databases
  • Experience in the VA
  • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
