! EPSI associate should experience in utilities high
voltage electrical distribution systems to complete the Utility Inventory Risk Assessment
electrical assignments or data collection
! EPSI associate will be available at least 40 hours per week, up to 10 hours per day, and
work an alternate schedule that may include weekends. Should have experience
with the Mobile Asset collection tool, the classifications of equipment, UNIFORMAT’s,
location hierarchy, and the label printers.
! Personal Protection Equipment: EPSI Associate should expect to work around energized
equipment while collecting data and it is required that you have your own Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE). The PPE required shall include Arc Rated long sleeve shirts
and pants or coveralls of a minimum of 8 Calorie/cm2. (For complete listing; Reference
UFC-3-560-01 change 4, chapter 4, 4-4.1.1 and 4-4.1.2).
! NAVFAC will provide an electrician to accompany EPSI Associate and/or CDM Smith
representative to access the energized equipment and assist in obtaining the specification
data on the assets. EPSI Associate shall expect to operate the data collection unit, input of
all the required specification data, and print the asset barcodes. EPSI Associate is not
allowed to open / touch any NAVFAC electrical distribution assets.
! There may be unplanned times when NAVFAC personnel are unavailable and the EPSI
Associate shall perform any additional data collection that is possible and does not require
opening equipment or facilities (example: overhead electrical distribution assets). If it is not
possible to collect data when NAVFAC personnel are not available, the contractor will
complete as much additional specification data through office research unless otherwise
instructed by CDM Smith.
! CDM Smith will provide specific training on the hand held devices and provide specific
instructions on the process of collecting the required data and submitting the completed
! Other duties as assigned.
